Colorado Saddlery was founded in 1945 by
four young saddlemakers in Denver, Colorado. These young men
had been working for the world famous, Denver based HH Heiser
SaddleCo. There they learned the saddle making craft from men
who had built saddles for cowboys who rode the open range and
had trailed the great herds of cattle north into Colorado.
These young saddle makers were determined to carry that
tradition forward into the post-World War II era. Over the last
sixty-three years Colorado Saddlery has remained true to the
original vision:To build the highest quality saddles at
affordable prices for the working cowboy.
The last of the original partners, P.R.
Van Scoyk retired in 2003 and passed the Saddlery on to his son
Jeff Van Scoyk. Jeff is proud to carry on his father’s
tradition of selling the highest quality saddlery tack
available on the market today. Every product Colorado Saddlery
sells has been time tested and carries the Colorado Saddlery
seal of excellence. We are proud to be the oldest western
saddlery still under original family ownership!
Over the last sixty-three years we have
expanded to carry not only saddles but tack, bits and spurs,
pack equipment, saddle maker supplies and much much more. With
every item we carry, we use the same exacting standards to make
sure that the product works right the first time, every time!
